Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert will make his return to the Preakness Stakes in 2023 after serving a lengthy suspension from the sport. Baffert is renowned in the horse racing community for his outstanding achievements, having trained numerous racehorses to victory in the world-renowned Triple Crown races.

Baffert’s suspension came after his star horse, Medina Spirit, tested positive for a banned substance following his victory in the 2021 Kentucky Derby. The suspension prevented Baffert from taking part in any major horse racing events, including the Preakness Stakes in 2021 and 2022.
